Zimbabwe and Namibia announce satcoms initiatives 

Thai satellite operator Thaicom said on Friday it has successfully relocated its recently acquired Thaicom 9A satellite to the 50.5º East orbital slot just a few days before Thailand’s rights to the slot expired.

UAE-based satellite operator Yahsat announced that it has successfully restored services to Thuraya’s satellite customers in southeast Asia and most of China after its Thuraya 3 satellite went offline in mid-April.

Zambia has completed the construction of a ground receiving station which it says will pave the way for the launch of the country’s long-awaited first satellite.
