Asian operators look to AI for growth

Indian billionaire and Bharti Enterprises chairperson Sunil Mittal (pictured) has sold US$976 million worth of Bharti Airtel shares as he looks to secure funds for other ventures.

Telstra-owned Papua New Guinea telco Digicel PNG is reportedly investing PGK20 million (almost US$4.9 million) to upgrade its 4G network in Lae, the capital of Morobe Province and the second-largest city in the country. 

Veon announced plans to float its Ukrainian operator, Kyivstar, on the Nasdaq stock exchange through the signing of a letter of intent (LOI) with investment company Cohen Circle Acquisition Corp.
