It is amazing how disorganized the boarding process can be when the slightest hint that boarding is about to start generates a rush to start a lengthy queue. Having assigned seats has calmed it down from the early days of low-cost carriers and the headlong rush across the tarmac, and this week, Qantas announced a new system to make it more efficient.
