Drones AKA unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are here to stay, whether anybody likes it or not. And lots of folks fall in the latter category, particularly (1) civil libertarians concerned about governments’ willingness and ability to use drones to spy on ordinary citizens, and (2) military combat pilots whose long-term job security is conceivably threatened by the ever-increasing use of UAVs for so-“kinetic operations,” i.e. killing people and breaking things (more specifically, blasting human adversaries and their equipment alike to smithereens).
