DB Cargo readies 400 wagons for low-water disruptions

DP World has completed its first finished-vehicle rail shipment from Zeebrugge to Aiud in Romania. The company plans regular services as it develops the terminal into a distribution hub for Southeastern Europe.

The operator said the terminal is designed to increase capacity and improve reliability for services between Perth, Kalgoorlie and the east coast.

As of February 2026, the EU-Ukraine Solidarity Lanes remain a core trade lifeline for Ukraine, supporting the majority of imports and a large share of non-agricultural exports.
