Italian rail freight loses 8% as upgrade works squeeze capacity

Freight traffic has started on the Belgrade–Budapest high-speed line between Serbia and Hungary.

The approval allows the Polish rail freight operator to run services in Germany independently, reducing reliance on intermediary carriers.

The service, operated by Dania Connect, runs with a transit time of approximately five hours and currently offers one departure per week, with plans to increase to three weekly departures.
