Garden railway festival boosts tourism in North Wales town

A garden railway festival in Llangollen, held in partnership with the Llangollen Railway on 5th June, provided a boost for the town’s tourist trade.

One of the Llangollen and Corwen Railway’s most respected and long-serving volunteers has retired after decades of service to the railway.

Memories of the 1980s will come to the Llangollen and Corwen Railway at the end of this month with a ‘Diesel Power and the Ultimate 80’s Weekend’.

The 50th anniversary celebrations of the Llangollen and Corwen Railway will culminate with a spectacular event in Saturday.
