SBB reshapes single wagonload freight

CargoBeamer is increasing its Calais–Perpignan service to six weekly roundtrips from June 2026, with daily departures from Monday to Saturday.

The figures represent year-on-year increases of 32% in train movements and 25% in volume.

ÖBB Rail Cargo Group transported 61.9 million tonnes of goods in and through Austria in 2025, accounting for around 64% of the country’s rail freight volume.
