Austria’s rail freight share stays strong

This is the first deployment of wagon assets reserved for Hyundai GLOVIS Europe’s own rail flows.

The service links Cinérites’ quarry at Voutré in Mayenne, western France, with rail platforms at Bonneuil-sur-Marne and Trappes in the Île-de-France region near the French capital.

Bednárik states that rail freight’s share of total freight transport in the EU has fallen to around 16%, moving the bloc further away from its modal shift objectives.
