Siemens starts delivery of Indian freight locos

ÖBB Rail Cargo Group will require European Waste Codes in rail freight documents from April, ahead of the EU’s new DIWASS system launch.

The service resumed on 9 February 2026 and is operated with one weekly round trip.

Rohrdorfer and ÖBB Rail Cargo Group are moving weekly Fluasit shipments from Gmunden to the Brenner Base Tunnel site. The rail programme is expected to replace around 1,480 truck journeys by 2029.
