Adif (re)-tenders management of Valladolid terminal

After rejecting the first two bids, Spanish infrastructure manager Adif is once again launching a tender for the management of the future terminal in Valladolid, part of the Valladolid Railway Complex. The value of the contract is 807,935.15 euros for a duration of six years, with operations expected to start this September.
Bids can be submitted from 2 June and they will be opened on 30 June, Adif specified. Bidders will have to meet a few conditions to be eligible. On the financial side, their highest annual turnover of the past three years needs to be equal or greater than the tender budget, and so does the company’s net worth.

Regarding operations, companies interested in managing the terminal in Valladolid need to have a management team where members all have at least three years of experience. Moreover, they will have to guarantee that they can provide adequate equipment and technical resources necessary to run the terminal.

The Valladolid Railway Complex

The Valladolid Railway Complex, strategically located between Bilbao and Madrid, will cover an area of 63,000 square metres, but the tender also includes a possible expansion on a further 43,000 square metres. The new facility will group most rail freight operations currently carried out in different locations in and around the city, especially the Campo Grande station.
