Renfe will introduce Stadler high-capacity trains for Madrid commuter network at the end of summer 2026

Deutsche Bahn (DB) and the German federal government have launched an immediate action programme titled “More Comfort on Long-Distance Trains”, backed by an additional EUR 20m in 2026.

State-owned Vy will take over services on the Sørlandsbanen and Jærbanen after the government decided to transfer the contract directly to the national operator.
