“It Was Scanning the Ground”

In December 1980, something strange happened in the forests beside RAF Bentwaters and Woodbridge in Suffolk, England – an event many now call the “British Roswell.”
Multiple U.S. Air Force personnel reported mysterious lights moving through the trees, strange craft, and unexplained activity over several nights. Decades later, the Rendlesham Forest incident remains one of the most credible and debated UFO cases in history.
Today’s guest, Gregory Smith, was stationed at RAF Bentwaters during that time. A young man in the U.S. Air Force assigned to personnel, Gregory often spent time with the base’s security police and on one of those nights in December 1980, he witnessed something he still struggles to explain.
From the barracks parking lot, Gregory watched bright lights moving deliberately through the forest in what he describes as a grid-like pattern… almost as if something was scanning the ground below the trees.
