Eutelsat and Airtel Gabon to connect trains with OneWeb

PLDT’s wireless arm Smart Communications and direct-to-device (D2D) LEO satellite operator Lynk Global said on Wednesday they have successfully tested Lynk’s D2D network on the island of Catanduanes in the Philippines.

Veon-owned Ukrainian telco Kyivstar announced on Monday that it has officially launched Starlink’s Direct to Cell (D2C) LEO satellite service for its customers after months of testing, with the initial service supporting only SMS.
