Data centre operators in the Philippines announce a “unified alliance”

TECO Electric & Machinery, a Taiwan-headquartered business group, has announced that it has secured some significant data centre projects in Malaysia, marking its entry into the hyperscale data centre sector.

The London Internet Exchange (LINX), described as the UK’s leading peering community, has announced that pan-African network provider AFR-IX Telecom is the latest member network to join its new interconnection hub in Kenya – LINX Nairobi.

Ciena said on Wednesday that digital infrastructure and technology provider Cirion Technologies will deploy its solutions on subsea and terrestrial cable routes to enable its Latin American data centres to support growing demand for cloud and AI.
