Umniah selects Ericsson as exclusive RAN partner for 3G, 4G and 5G rollout

Nokia has signed a deal with Danish shipping giant Maersk to deploy private wireless network solutions across 450 vessels in its fleet.

Nokia shot down speculation from a Bloomberg report claiming that it is prepping its mobile unit for a US$10 billion sale for suitors including rival Samsung.

Research from Finnish vendor Nokia predicts that one in four mobile subscriptions in the Middle East and Africa will be connected via 5G within the next five years.
