China demands WhatsApp and Threads to be pulled from App Store

Two very different announcements regarding SIM registration have made headlines in two African countries in recent days: Togo is pursuing the policy, while Mauritius seems to be rejecting it.

Malaysia’s communications watchdog opened a public consultation to review its licensing process and refocus how payment for licences will be made. 

Fixed broadband in Bangladesh was reportedly set to be completely restored on Wednesday night, but the government said that mobile internet access will remain offline until at least Sunday or Monday, which means most people will remain unconnected.
