Mount Ruang, located on the northern side of Sulawesi Island in Indonesia, began erupting on Tuesday night. With several more eruptions reported on Wednesday, prompting a mass evacuation of people in the area, some airlines have also started to cancel flights to the nearby regions. Malaysia Airlines and AirAsia have announced a bunch of cancelations, and as the situation evolves, it remains to be seen how much of an impact it will have on flight operations in the region.
