Back in 1989, on July 19th, a McDonnell Douglas DC-10 operating as United Airlines Flight 232 departed from Denver Stapleton International Airport and was headed toward Chicago O'Hare International Airport before continuing onto Philadelphia International Airport. Everything about the flight was routine until the aircraft suffered a catastrophic hydraulic failure mid-flight and crashed landed in Sioux City, Iowa.
