PLDT deploys Google’s Taara laser tech to connect remote areas

Philippines-based operator PLDT has activated three mobile sites using Google’s Taara laser technology, reducing reliance on physical cables and bringing high-speed connectivity to remote locations.

Indian telco Vodafone Idea (Vi) said on Tuesday its has expanded its 5G network in Kerala to all 14 districts in the state, covering all major towns, commercial hubs, educational clusters, tourism corridors and high-density residential areas.
