Indian low-cost carrier Air India Express has added one more route to its extensive Middle East network, this time connecting Hyderabad with Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. The airline has been on a network expansion spree, including several new domestic and international routes in recent months.

Heading into 2026, Air India continues to operate an incredibly diverse fleet of Airbus and Boeing aircraft with narrowbodies and widebodies from the European planemaker, and widebodies from the American planemaker. There are 187 aircraft in the mainline fleet with another 100-plus additional jets with regional subsidiary Air India Express. The mainline fleet has grown significantly since our last fleet video on Air India, largely thanks to the acquisition of Vistara and the absorption of its fleet into Air India’s operations.
