More than 37 years later, Japan Airlines flight 123 remains the world's deadliest-ever single-aircraft accident ever, as well as the deadliest plane crash to have occurred on Japanese soil. Out of the 524 passengers and crew onboard the flight, only four survived the crash. Till today, some have called their survival a miracle, considering the impact of the crash.
