Djibouti Telecom to extend DARE1 cable from Kenya to South Africa

Service provider Telecom Fiji and technology company Google have reportedly signed a strategic agreement to design, build, and maintain a high-capacity terrestrial fibre optic link on the country’s main island, Viti Levu.

Operator Ooredoo Oman part of the multinational telecommunications company headquartered in Qatar, has signed an agreement for the landing of the 2Africa cable system in Muscat and Salalah.

Qatar-based Ooredoo Group announced on Sunday it has signed a landing party agreement with Iraqi Telecommunications and Post Company (ITPC) to land Ooredoo’s planned Fibre in Gulf (FIG) subsea cable in Iraq.
