Digicel Tonga CEO to step down

The International Finance Corporation (IFC) has approved a $400 million loan for Pakistan Telecommunications Company Limited (PTCL), marking a significant step toward its acquisition of Telenor Group’s operations in Pakistan.

Philippines-base operator Globe Telecom closed the sale of 154 towers to Miescor Infrastructure Development Corporation (MIDC) for PHP 13.5 billion (US$242 million). 

Veon announced on Friday it has secured all regulatory approvals for its deal with Pakistan’s largest conglomerate Engro to pool and manage their respective telecoms infrastructure assets in Pakistan.
