The Kalahari Event
In the world of UFOlogy, the title of “Biggest Event Ever” easily goes to Roswell. However, there is another lesser-known event that many argue lays an equal claim to this title.
On May 7, 1989, a spacecraft containing live aliens crashed into the Kalahari desert after it was shot down by the South African Air Force. After the crash, the craft and its crew were transported to Wright Patterson Air Force, home of Project Blue Book, the US Air Force’s program for studying UFOs.
This second event is far more documented than Roswell and has way more concrete evidence, not forgetting the undisputable proof from the US Air Force that the incident did, in fact, happen.
So, how did one of the biggest UFO events of the 20th Century manage to become almost permanently erased and relegated to the back corners of obscure history?
