On July 10, Ethiopian Airlines took off from Addis Ababa to Hanoi, Vietnam. The route has never had passenger flights before. Running four times weekly on the 270-seat Boeing 787-8, flights operate via Dhaka, Bangladesh, in both directions. However, fifth freedom traffic rights are unavailable.
