Axian Telecom reportedly aims for e-commerce expansion

Malaysian operator U Mobile joined rival Maxis in signing a 5G cooperation agreement with China Mobile International (CMI) to explore how to advance 5G connectivity.

Maxis CEO Goh Seow Eng said on Friday that the telco is ready to sign off on its share subscription agreement (SSA) to take a stake in 5G wholesaler Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB) and aims to play a major role in deploying Malaysia’s second 5G network.

Vodacom and Orange are reportedly in talks to share infrastructure in Africa to cut network costs and deploy coverage in remote locations.
