Australia, Papua New Guinea discuss new subsea cables to boost connectivity

Benin-based broadband provider Isocel Telecom has announced ambitious plans to expand its network to reach up to half a million households, emphasising that fibre is still essential to fill the gaps that mobile connectivity cannot yet address.

Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Joint Stock Limited Company (YOFC), in collaboration with China Mobile, recently unveiled the world’s first 800G hollow-core fibre transmission test network in Shenzhen-Dongguan, Guangdong.

TurkNet and SOCAR Fiber announced on Thursday they have signed a strategic cooperation agreement to integrate their fibre optic networks along the TANAP natural gas pipeline to expand TurkNet’s fibre business and fortify Turkey’s internet backbone.
