Argentina still unsure about operator merger

Governments in Mozambique and Mauritius have reportedly shut down access to social media and messaging sites, as Mozambique deals with election protests while Mauritius is trying to control the fallout of an alleged wiretapping scandal.

Morocco’s National Telecommunications Regulatory Agency (ANRT) has reported that it has made a decision approving the creation of two new joint ventures by Moroccan operators Maroc Telecom and Inwi.

Operator MTN South Sudan, part of the pan-African MTN Group, has secured a 15-year operating license from the country’s National Communication Authority. MTN had previously operated in South Sudan under a Sudanese license.
