UK Court Rules Insurers Must Pay Aircraft Lessors For Aircraft Stuck In Russia

A Judge in the United Kingdom has ruled that insurers must honor their policies issued to aircraft lessors for aircraft and related assets, which were ruled to be lost in Russia. According to the judge, the loss happened when the Russian government banned the export of aircraft out of the country several weeks after the country invaded Ukraine in 2022.
