NTSB Says American Airlines Boeing 737 That Caught Fire Had An Engine Part Installed Backwards

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has released a preliminary report on the March 2025 fire incident involving an American Airlines Boeing 737-800 narrowbody aircraft. According to the NTSB, the aircraft caught fire after landing, and the engine shut down due to a misinstalled engine part, which allowed fuel to leak.
