The Boeing 777, a long-range widebody twinjet, has slowly become among the most common long-haul aircraft in the skies today, and remains the largest aircraft operated by two major US carriers: American Airlines, and United Airlines. Since taking to the skies in 1994 and entering service in 1995 with launch customer United Airlines, the Boeing 777 has slowly become a mainstay of long-haul airline fleets.
