Bangladesh telcos receive unified licences to prepare for 5G

Bangladesh operators Grameenphone, Banglalink, Robi Axiata and Teletalk have each received a unified licence from Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) to streamline their operations and 5G evolution paths.

Tigo Guatemala has paid more than US$118 million to settle a case brought by the US Department of Justice, which investigated the Millicom-owned operator over widespread bribery involving illicit proceeds linked to narcotics.
