EdgePoint Towers launches its first solar hybrid site

Digital Edge, a data centre developer and operator with a strong presence in the Asia-Pacific market, has agreed a partnership with Philippines-based renewable energy provider First Gen to power one of its data centres.

The announcement, late last week, of the largest recycled water supply scheme of its kind in Malaysia to date underlines both the challenge data centre growth offers to water supply and the growing urgency of attempts to meet it.
