The Airbus A340 is increasingly becoming a rare aircraft to spot, with only a handful of airlines currently operating the type. One carrier that continues to fly this plane even today – Lufthansa – was also its launch customer thirty years ago. As the A340 completes three decades of commercial service, we look back at its journey all these years.
