1 Dead as Car Collides With Light Rail Train in Colorado

A person was killed after a car collided with a light rail train in Lone Tree, Colorado, on the morning of Tuesday, April 8, according to South Metro Fire Rescue (SMFR).

The SMFR said the crash occurred when the car was driven off an overpass and onto the tracks. An occupant of the car was killed, while an operator and a passenger who were aboard the train were uninjured.

The car was to be removed from the tracks following a police investigation, the SMFR said.
