DoT unveils sandbox, test zones and classes for 5G/6G use cases

Smartcom, a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) in Singapore, says it is expanding its reach beyond its home country into Indonesia bringing its mission-critical push-to-talk (PTT) solutions to a significantly larger market.

Indonesian telco Telkomsel said on Thursday it has teamed with ZTE to implement an AI-powered network solution in its 4G network to optimise base station performance after completing tests in Makassar and Kendari.

Mobile telecommunications provider Zain Kuwait and Parallel Wireless, a provider of open RAN hardware-agnostic solutions, have successfully completed what they describe as a groundbreaking 5G standalone (SA) proof of concept (POC).
