Veon and Airspan partner on Open RAN and air-to-land tech for Kyivstar

India’s Department of Telecommunications (DoT) announced on Friday that its next spectrum auction – which will put more 5G bands on the block – will commence on May 20, and has invited all players to apply.

Smartcom, a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) in Singapore, says it is expanding its reach beyond its home country into Indonesia bringing its mission-critical push-to-talk (PTT) solutions to a significantly larger market.

Mobile telecommunications provider Zain Kuwait and Parallel Wireless, a provider of open RAN hardware-agnostic solutions, have successfully completed what they describe as a groundbreaking 5G standalone (SA) proof of concept (POC).
