A large-scale data centre is being planned by Turkey’s satellite operator Turksat. It will be constructed in the Gölbaşı district, 20 kilometres south of the capital Ankara, according to Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu.
UAE-based telco e& announced on Wednesday that it is exiting Khazna Data Centres – its joint venture with AI and cloud firm Group 42 – and will sell its 40% stake to G42 for US$2.2 billion.
A financing package from development finance institutions IFC and Proparco has been announced for digital infrastructure provider WIOCC Group. WIOCC says the package will fund its expansion strategy in three African countries.
Czech telecoms firm České Radiokomunikace (CRA) says that it has obtained a building permit to construct a data centre on the outskirts of Prague, in the Zbraslav – Jíloviště area.
