UAE-based telco e& announced on Wednesday that it is exiting Khazna Data Centres – its joint venture with AI and cloud firm Group 42 – and will sell its 40% stake to G42 for US$2.2 billion.
Thailand’s Board of Investment (BOI) says it has approved 66.2 billion baht (US$1.96 billion) worth of investments for new data centre projects in Chonburi Province backed by Google and China’s GDS.
Google is reportedly planning to invest US$6 billion to establish its first data centre in India, with a planned IT load capacity of 1GW that would make it one of the largest such facilities in Asia-Pacific.
