Dutch-based software company RailCube is strengthening its position in North America with the latest acquisition of Spark TS. “Expanding to North America has been a long-held dream, and this marks a significant milestone as our first add-on acquisition since forming our strategic partnership with Main Capital Partners”, said RailCube CEO Dennis Hendriksen. RailCube is already present in Europe, Australia and Senegal.
“The combination of our product RailCube and Spark TS’s best-of-breed Rail Tasker product will also further deepen our safety and compliance software capabilities, which is in high demand across our European client base as well”, Hendriksen added. This initiative “is expected to unlock significant cross-selling opportunities across the installed bases of both companies, further accelerating the growth for both organizations”, RailCube said.
Spark TS and RailCube
Spark TS is a provider of compliance, safety, and drug & alcohol testing software and services for the railway industry based in St. Paul, Minnesota. Founded in 2016, Spark TS is the provider of Rail Tasker™, a workforce safety, compliance, and drug and alcohol testing software compliant with the US Federal Railroad Administration and the Department of Transportation. The company collaborates with roughly 100 railway undertakings in the United States.
RailCube, founded in 2011 in Paris, France, and now based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, provides Enterprise Resource Planning solutions to various railway undertakings in Europe. It also works with Pacific National in Australia and SETER, a passenger operator in Senegal. In May 2023 the company signed a Merger & Acquisition transaction with Main Capital Partners, a Dutch Private Equity Fund specialized in investing in B2B software companies.
