Degraves Street Subway reopens at Flinders Street Station

The Degraves Street Subway at Flinders Street Station has reopened to the public after more than two years of being closed for Metro Tunnel works — so, why is it still covered in dirt and grime?

The works underway have been to link the very useful subway with the new Town Hall Railway Station as a component of the Metro Tunnel project.

It is a pity the subways were closed when the redevelopment of the Southern Cross Railway Station was undertaken meaning the pavements and pedestrian crossings are highly dangerous and swell with people during the peak times. We really need those underpass options available again.
