Pakistan counts down to 5G launch in June

The Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) has reportedly urged the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) to do more to stop the theft of telecoms gear from cell towers, which has escalated in the last few months amid aggressive 5G rollouts.

Last month’s internet blackouts in Bangladesh during student protests that led to the ouster of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina were ordered by the government and not the result of data centre fires, according to an independent probe.
