Driving digital progress in Africa through 5G

Malaysian telco and second licenced 5G operator U Mobile said on Thursday it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with state-backed Melaka ICT Holdings (MICTH) to boost deployment of its 5G network in Malacca.

Revenues from fixed communication services in Malaysia is expected to hit a compound annual growth rate of 0.7% from US$1.87 billion in 2023 to US$1.94 billion in 2028.

Ericsson has announced a strategic three-year neutral host provider (NHP) agreement with Advanced Communications and Electronics Systems (ACES), an international neutral host provider, aimed at the Saudi Arabian market.
