China Mobile and stc team up for IoT connectivity in Saudi Arabia

Veon Group has appointed Singapore-based operator StarHub’s consumer chief, Johan Buse (pictured), as the new CEO of its Banglalink unit, in a move to accelerate its digital expansion in emerging markets.

State-controlled telco Telecom Egypt said it has signed several service agreements with Orange Egypt worth around EGP15 billion (US$296.2 million) to provide transmission and infrastructure services.

Veon has relocated the headquarters of its Uzbekistan subsidiary to a government-backed innovation hub, aiming to accelerate the development of digital services across Central Asia and tap into rising demand.
