Lufthansa is scheduled to operate six routes (with return flights) in December using Airbus A321s on routes longer than 1,400 miles from 
Frankfurt Airport. Only one of these routes is to a destination on the European continent (northern Finland), two are to European island nations (Iceland and Cyprus), and three are to North Africa/Middle Eastern destinations (Jordan, Egypt, and Morocco). All of these destinations are also popular tourist destinations. Lufthansa operates three variants of the Airbus A321 and is now one of the last operators of the aging A321-100.
