Another massive deal for Nokia in India – this time with Airtel

Technology giant Huawei has been busy with information and communication technologies (ICT) education initiatives in recent weeks – in Kenya, Ethiopia and Egypt.

Nokia secured a contract to supply Uzbekistan-based operator Perfectum with equipment and software to construct its standalone (SA) 5G network, in line with the operator’s plan to commercially launch Central Asia’s first SA 5G network. 

Ericsson has secured a multi-billion-dollar deal to supply 4G and 5G equipment and solutions to Indian operator Bharti Airtel, outpacing its rivals.
