Britain’s first Tri-mode trains enter service in Wales

On 18 November, tri-mode trains started operating passenger services on part of the South Wales Metro, the first time such trains had run in the UK.

Transport for Wales (TfW) has launched a public consultation into plans to extend the South Wales Metro from Aberdare to Hirwaun.

Transport for Wales has announced that they will be running extra trains for fans heading to Cardiff this Friday.

99% of the South Wales Metro System is now able to run electric trains
