Bluebell begins work on steam locomotive Sharpthorn

Originally a contractor’s locomotive, ‘Sharpthorn’, which has been at the Bluebell Railway since 1981, will now receive some much-needed surgery.

The Bluebell Railway has announced that 34059 ‘Sir Archibald Sinclair’ will be rededicated on the 15th June.

Next October, the Bluebell Railway is to celebrate Railway 200 with its own event celebrating locomotives that have been built since the end of steam.
