Welsh heritage railway prepares for the festive season

The Welsh Highland Heritage Railway has announced this year’s Santa Specials will run on Saturday, 14th and Sunday, 15th December.

Corris Railway begins overhaul of steam locomotive No. 7

Volunteers at the Corris Railway have started the 10-year overhaul of steam locomotive No. 7, a replica of Talyllyn Railway No. 4 ‘Edward Thomas’.

After five years of service on the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway (W&LLR), Zillertalbahn No.2 Zillertal has returned to its home base in Austria.

For its three-day Steam Gala in May the Ruislip Lido Railway will be running steam locomotive Sherpa on loan from the Fairbourne Miniature Railway.
